My Own Description
IHS 130 was a course that well-rounded me into what ‘being healthy’ truly consisted of, from physical to psychological. It was not just an issue of how to eat appropriately or how to exercise-right, though these were considered in depth-but also simply how our day-to-day choices change our quality of life altogether. It helped me to think critically about wellness-not just from a health standpoint but also how stress, sleep, and mental health are interrelated. I really enjoyed the personal reflection aspects of the course, where we were encouraged to assess our own habits and consider how we might improve them. All in all, this class provided me with the tools to make smarter choices and live a more balanced life.
